WASHINGTON, August 28, 2020 – The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved EUR 35.7 million ($40 million) for the Log-in Georgia Project, which aims to connect people, enterprises, and institutions across rural Georgia to high-quality, affordable broadband internet, and promote the use of digital services.

We would like to let you know, that on Friday,  July 24th,  at 14:00 hours, a webinar regarding the discussion of the Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) files of the Log in Georgia project will be held.  

During the preparation period of the Log in Georgia Project, we developed the Environmental and Social Framework (ESF), which describes the possible impacts that the project might have on the environmental and social aspects of the affected regions.

The World Bank supports Georgian national strategy 2020-2025 regarding the broadband development.  For that reason, the Government of Georgia will be implementing the Log in Georgia Project, and intends to secure financing from the World Bank for the Project..
