Within the scope of the Log-In Georgia Project, State procurement for Consultancy services has been announced
The State procurement, which will be done as part of the Component 2 of the “Log-In Georgia” project, will be focused on the Community Needs Assessment for 49 settlements (Pilot Program in Ozurgeti).
This procurement will help to promote use-cases and increase digital inclusion of the residents of the selected 49 settlements in the Ozurgeti area and at the same time will help increase rural users’ appetite for and use of broadband connectivity, helping to achieve the Project’s development objective. The Project will also address the need for assistive and accessible digital technologies to overcome barriers faced by persons with disabilities to access and use the internet.
These activities will need to be delivered at the settlement level and will rely on extensive citizen engagement in their design and implementation. Activities’ design will rely on surveys, focus groups, and beneficiary engagement to collect detailed information about the status quo of Internet use and to identify relevant use-cases for each of the settlements to be covered by the Project.
The Log-In Georgia project was developed by the cooperation of World Bank and the Government of Georgia, in order to increase access to broadband internet in rural parts of the country.
There are several directions that will help to achieve this goal, one of which is the State Broadband Development program support, which is done by Open Net in accordance with the Governmental Decree #375, adopted on June 28, 2016.
