Another working meeting at the Kobuleti City Hall
“Open Net” director, Mariam Sulaberidze held another working meeting at the Kobulety City Hall, where she met with the network building company “Sis Business Service”, the Kobuleti Mayor Mirian Katamadze and the representatives of the local municipalities, during which she presented the 2nd pilot project of the State Program for Universal Internetisation.
According to Mariam Sulaberidze : for the purpose of the program running smoothly and without any obstacles, it is vital to have involvement of each link of the project, including local government representatives.
“Today, together with the local government and the building company, discussed in detail the planned works for fiber-optic infrastructure creation in the Kobuleti Municipality, and we hope that all stages will be carried out according to the plan and with great success.
“Sis Business Service” company is actively working on the design of the fiber-optic infrastructure, which includes surveys, field works and detailed design of the network. The construction works will begin immediately after the design phase is over. In parallel to this, there will be new design and build procurements announced for other regions of Georgia” – “Open Net” director stated.
The deadline for the completion of the network in the Kobuleti Municipality has been set to the 24th of December.
Within the framework of the State Program for Universal Internetisation, 50 km of fiber-optic infrastructure will be built, which means that another 11,000 residents from the 13 settlements of targeted municipality, will be given opportunity to use high quality internet services.
