On December 11-12, in Kutaisi, representatives of "Open Net" held a productive working meeting with private telecommunication operators, during which they presented the projects of "Log-in Georgia." The discussion covered both ongoing and planned initiatives within the "Log-in Georgia" project, fostering dialogue on potential areas of cooperation and future endeavors.

The meetings were primarily attended by telecom operators representing Imereti and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regions, including key participants from: "GNET," "AIRMAX," "Green Networks," "VGS Network," "Svirinet," "LukNET," "MegaTV," "Highline." As well as the Chairman of the "Small and Medium Telecom Operators Association of Georgia" – Ucha Seturi.

During the meeting, discussions centered around technical and social issues associated with the Internetization process. The participants collectively emphasized the significance of the state program for universal Internet access. The session provided an opportunity to assess and reaffirm the commitment of telecom operators to actively participate in this crucial initiative, stating their readiness to contribute to the successful implementation of the program.

It's worth highlighting that the state program encourages private telecommunications operators to develop their own businesses. After completing the construction of the fiber-optic infrastructure, Open Net doesn't directly provide Internet services to the population. Instead, it enables any authorized telecom operator to utilize the open access service on the highway, extending connectivity to the end user.
