N(N)LE OPEN NET announces the REOI for Consultancy Services on LEGAL UPDATES FOR APPROXIMATIONS GEORGIAN LEGISLATION TO EECC OF 2018

N(N)LE Open Net is implementing the state program on development of broadband, fiber-optic infrastructure in Georgia (Log-In Georgia Project), the goal of which is to increase access to the high-speed internet throughout the whole country.

In accordance with this, N(N)LE Open Net is announcing REOI for Consultancy Services (“Services”) “FOR   LEGAL UPDATES FOR APPROXIMATIONS GEORGIAN LEGISLATION TO THE DIRECTIVE (EU) 2018/1972 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL OF 11 DECEMBER 2018 ESTABLISHING THE EUROPEAN ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS CODE”.

Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia (MoESD) promotes the development of the digital economy and the digital development of the country, and implements AA/DCFTA obligations together with all stakeholders in the telecom and postal sectors.

For further alignment with the EU regulations, within the scope of Log-In Georgia Project, the implementation of the EECC in the primary and secondary legislation of Georgia project should be ensured.

The objective of the Consulting Services is to elaborate policy and legislative updates to ensure implementation of European Electronic Communications Code (EECC) of 2018 (the Directive (EU) 2018/1972 of the European Parliament and of the European Council of December 11, 2018) to ensure that Georgia aligns with EU regulations and best practices.

Duration of the assignment: 12 months

Open Net NNLE now invites eligible consulting firms to express their interest in providing the above Services.

In EOI, the interested Consulting firms are expected to provide general but comprehensive information indicating that they could be qualified to perform the Services. At the stage of EOI Consulting firms are not requested and must not present a financial proposal.

A Consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrower dated July 2016 (revised on November 2017 and August 2018). 

The deadline for submission of EOI is February 2, 2023, 17:30 (local time, GMT +4)
